At the meeting under the joint chairmanship of the Aide to the President of Russia Maxim Oreshkin and the deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, with participation of the Head of Dagestan Sergei Melikov in video conference mode, it was noted that the year-round sea resorts will be built in Dagestan. Thus, proposals for 10 investment projects to create resorts in 7 regions of the country have already been formed. The key issue is the construction of modern tourist infrastructure.
The all-season tourist and recreational complex "Caspian Coastal Cluster" is being developed on the territory of Derbent district. A special economic zone has been created for the implementation of the project. The residents intend to create about 14 thousand accommodation places in 22 hotels of different categories - from 3 to 5 stars - at the expense of extrabudgetary investments. 18 residents have already applied for participation in the project, and preliminary agreements have been concluded with some of them. It is planned to launch the resort in 2028.
