Dagestan to restore 1.5 thousand hectares of forests

In the next five years, new forests covering the area of more than 1,500 hectares will be planted in Dagestan. According to the head of the regional Forestry Committee, Vagab Abdulhamidov, forests will be restored in Dagestan by 2030. The scale of artificial reforestation in the coming five years is set to expand. The restoration efforts are focused on areas previously affected by drought and fire.
