Makhachkala, August 6, 2014. Yesterday, Daghestan National Assembly discussed implementing the program "Developing viticulture and winemaking in Daghestan", the parliamentary information and analytical department informed RIA "Daghestan".
Chairing the meeting, parliamentary speaker Khizri Shikhsaidov spoke about how Daghestan government’s order on the viticulture and winemaking development program is being implemented and how state unitary enterprises were being transformed into municipal ones.
Deputy minister of agriculture and food supply Gaidar Shuaibov was concerned about how individual investors stay away from fulfilling commitments on planting vineyards they had undertaken. Shikhsaidov advised to involve people on spot. "In the villages, people are willing to work, they ask for land. Given their willingness, authorities must quickly resolve all the problems and provide the people with what they need," he said urging the economic entities to attract their own funds for planting vineyards in addition to those of investors.
Participant also disputed on the difficult situation in transforming the state unitary enterprises into municipal ones. Concluding the meeting, parliamentary speaker suggested they solve the problems as soon as possible. In this regard, they decided to hold an extended meeting of the viticulture and winemaking development program with participation of all involved authorities.
