The head of the regional branch of Federal Anti-monopoly service across the Republic of Dagestan Kair Babayev has made a statement on the need to liquidate state unitary enterprises (SUEs) in Dagestan by 2025. In his opinion, this process is unavoidable, but for some reason the retraining program of SUEs governing bodies is still underway.

At the same time, experts believe that the liquidation should take place without excesses and with maximum benefit for the economy of the region.

Recall in 2023 there were 35 SUEs in the region. Of these, 15 are operating, 11 are in the process liquidation and 9 are bankrupt. Besides, 4 unitary enterprises are at the stage of reorganization, in the form of transformation into limited liability companies.
