MPs discuss implementation of Daghestan development priority projects

Makhachkala, April 9, 2014. On April 8, a meeting on implementing the priority projects of Daghestan development was held in Daghestan National Assembly.

The event brought together the Prime Minister Abdussamad Gamidov, the minister of economy and regional development Rayudin Yussufov, and the deputy chief of the Head of Government’s Administration’s Department on expertise and project management Marina Stepanenko.

1st Deputy Chairman of Daghestan National Assembly Yuri Levitsky said that the meeting was held on behalf of Daghestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov and the chairman of Daghestan National Assembly Khizri Shikhsaidov. He also pointed out the importance of implementing the priority projects for the republic.

He noted the amount of work carried out by the government while preparing the plans of implementing the priority projects in 2014, and the need for more active involvement of committees, parliamentary factions, and all deputies in the work.

Abdussamad Gamidov focused on the government's efforts as for implementing the priority projects of Daghestan development. He noted that the efforts had been designed to involve all levels of executive and municipal authorities to yield positive results.

The minister of economy and regional development Rayudin Yussufov enlarged on the project "Whitewashing the Economy", and Marina Stepanenko said that municipalities had already submitted some certain ideas concerning the economic development of cities and regions.

Abdussamad Gamidov answered MPs’ questions and appealed to them to actively contribute in implementing the projects.

Participants decided to meet on a regular basis to discuss the progress of implementing the priority projects of Daghestan development.
