By 2030 in Dagestan, it is planned to increase the number of suburban trains up to 20 pairs on the section "Makhachkala - Derbent" (in the current schedule - 5 pairs) and at least 6 pairs of trains on the section "Makhachkala - Khasavyurt" (in the current schedule - 2 pairs). This has been announced by the deputy Chairman of the Government of Dagestan Rizvan Gazimagomedov. As to the top official, the regional government had already enlisted support of the Russian Railways, as these directions are extremely popular among the region's residents and tourists. Besides, the regional authorities intend to create an uninterrupted route "Khasavyurt - Derbent".
