State support measures will be taken in Dagestan to establish production of unmanned aircraft systems. The importance of development of unmanned aviation in Russia in the context of the current special military operation can hardly be overestimated. Russia has approved strategy for the development of unmanned aviation until 2030 with a long-term perspective till 2035, initiated by the President of Russia in 2023.
The National Unmanned Aerial Systems Project was also approved. The main goal of the project is to use the technological potential of this sector to increase the country's security, stimulate the economy and improve the quality of life of citizens.
To this end, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Dagestan has developed a regional project on unmanned aviation titled "Development of Unmanned Aviation Systems in the Republic of Dagestan".
“We need to set tasks for the regional executive bodies that can be effectively and economically carried out with the help of drones. We also need to identify priority areas for using unmanned systems, assess the need for related services, and involve all stakeholders - government, business, and the scientific community - to solve this issue” – the local authorities say.
