The Ministry of Tourism of Dagestan has summarized results of 2023, pointing out the achievements of the regional tourism industry. Thus, in 2023 in Dagestan accepted 1.750 million tourists, which is 12% more than in 2022 (then the region was visited by 1.560 million tourists).

As to the state body official the republican authorities implement project "Development of tourist infrastructure" within the framework of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry".

16 projects aimed at the development of tourist infrastructure (beaches and routes) received state support totally worth 131.7 million RUR. Besides, 82.1 million were allocated for 18 projects aimed at creating modular non-capital accommodation facilities.
Another 34 projects were aimed at the development of tourism infrastructure. They received support totaling 104.8 million rubles.
