Makhachkala, January 13, 2017. On January 12, the Head of the Republic of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov held a working meeting with the Russian billionaire, senator, Suleiman Kerimov. The State Duma deputy Magomed Gadzhiev and the executive of the All-Russian Exhibition Center (Moscow) Magomed Musayev attended the meeting too.
The meeting participants discussed a possibility of opening of the regional branch of the educational center "Sirius". Noteworthy, Suleiman Kerimov is a member of the board of trustees of the center. The "Sirius", created on the initiative of Vladimir Putin, on the basis of the Olympic infrastructure, is engaged in identification, development and further professional support of gifted children with outstanding abilities in various fields.
According to Ramazan Abdulatipov, Suleiman Kerimov did much for the development of good-quality and important projects in Dagestan. The "Sirius" project, in Abdulatipov’s opinion, is also urgently needed in the republic, since Dagestan continues to lack competent, qualified and educated people. "In order to ensure qualitative development of the region, we must bring up and educate a younger generation" – the region leader confessed, emphasizing the interest and the need for the implementation of the educational project.
As to the director of the "Talent and success" Foundation, the member of the Presidential Council for Science and Education Elena Shmeleva, the children from all regions visited the Center. The unique specialists prepared special education programs for the youngsters. Apart from the school teachers, the tutors of universities and the employees of research institutes contribute to the educational process in the Center. There are a variety of laboratory training courses covering various areas.
Following the meeting, it was decided to immediately proceed with the implementation of this project in the republic.
