In Dagestan, 24 kilometers of federal highways will be widened from two to four lanes in 2024. According to Rosavtodor, work is currently underway on five sections along the Khasavyurt - Makhachkala and Izberbash - Dagestanskie Ogni routes with a total length of 51 km. It is planned to complete the overhaul by the end of 2025.

In total, by the end of 2026, more than 140 km of federal highways will be overhauled in the North Caucasian Federal District. By the end of this year, 34.5 km of federal highways under the jurisdiction of the Kavkaz Federal Upland Commission will be overhauled, in 2025 - 28 km, and in 2026 - 80 km.
