Second in 24h: earthquakes tremor border region between Dagestan and Chechnya
Makhachkala, January 13, 2017. Two earthquakes occurred on the administrative border between the republic of Chechnya and the republic of Dagestan within a 24-hour period. Noteworthy, the first tremor was registered in the morning on January 12, the second one - around midnight, the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reports.
By the way, the first tremors occurred two kilometers from the village of Alleroj located in Kurchaloy district of Chechnya, near the border with Dagestan.
The second quake happened near the village of Oyskhara in Gudermes district. Its epicenter was at a depth of five kilometers. No casualties and destructions reported.
Earlier, on December 27, 20016, another earthquake with a magnitude of 3.9 was registered at the border points of the Republic of Chechnya and Dagestan. The tremors were registered on the territory of Gudermes district of Chechnya, 15 kilometers from Dagestan city of Khasavyurt.
