According to the data for 2024, the passenger traffic at Makhachkala Airport has increased by 3.5%, reaching a remarkable figure of almost 2.9 million passengers. During the same period, the airport recorded nearly 22,000 takeoffs and landings, while 4.2 thousand tons of mail and cargo were successfully transported.

The most popular domestic destinations were Moscow, St Petersburg and Surgut. The most popular international destinations were Istanbul (Turkey), Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and Baku (Azerbaijan). Furthermore, a total of 355,000 individuals ventured abroad last year, representing a 12% increase compared to 2023.
