Makhachkala, July 9, 2015. The well-known Russian kickboxer Dzhabar Askerov won the second battle under mixed martial arts rules, which took place within the international tournament TECH-KREP FC: PRIME SELECTION in Krasnodar on July 8.
Askerov’s rival was the Russian athlete Roman Gundarenko called "Rusich". The bout of two well-known sportsmen became the main event of the tournament. Askerov had started pressing Gundarenko in the first round and then sent him in deep knockout with one powerful blow in the chin.
Having thanked all participants after the fight, Askerov noted his opponent’s courage.
The 29-year-old Dzhabar Askerov is the best Russian medium-weight world champion and European champion in Thai boxing, the European champion in kickboxing version IAKSA-PRO. By the way, Dzhabar has a record of over 83 wins and 114 fights, which 42 of them finished by knockout.
