Dagestani weightlifter Izamutdin Abdulaev won a bronze medal at the Russian Championships in Orenburg in the category up to 89 kg (under 15 years). The athlete, who trains under the guidance of Gusenkhan Zakaryaev, lifted 97 kg in the snatch and 123 kg in the jerk winning bronze not only in this event but also in the total, with 220 kg. This is the fourth medal for Dagestan combined team at this championship. Sharaputdin Iziev and Islam Abakarov won gold medals, while Buvaisar Believ became silver medalist.
