“At the federal level, we have been granted support for the development of a glass industry cluster, with approximately RUB 43 million allocated for industrial cooperation. This marks our initial success in securing support for the cluster establishment.

The manufacturers of flat glass and glass containers in Dagestan have integrated into the cluster, primarily targeting export markets with their products. Currently, our partnerships extend to Azerbaijan, while in the case of flat glass we also collaborate with neighboring countries.

The export volumes are steadily increasing, although there are difficulties in entering new flat glass markets due to intense competition. Nonetheless, our producers actively pursue opportunities in foreign markets - the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Dagestan, Nizam Khalilov says.
