Zurab Kuchchaev, the Acting Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Dagestan met with Ahmed Nasser Abdullah Al Bakri, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources of the Sultanate of Oman. The officials discussed issues related to the mutual supply of goods between Russia and Oman, with a particular focus on the development of logistics for product delivery.

The parties agreed on the supply of samples of Dagestanian rice to Oman by the end of May, with the aim of concluding contracts with the local rice farms. Additionally, it was decided to explore the possibility of exporting frozen meat to Oman. As to Zurab Kuchchaev Oman faces demand for both meat and rice through direct procurement of Russian products.

If the current circumstances continue to evolve positively, an agreement between the Russian Federation and the Sultanate of Oman regarding the direct purchase of Russian products may become feasible. Following the meeting, Ahmed Nasser Abdullah Al Bakri tasked officials to devise measures to ensure smooth transportation of a pilot shipment of Dagestani goods to Oman.
