Dagestan state museums present their plans for 2025

The republican Ministry of Culture hosted a presentation of events scheduled for the upcoming year, with a particular focus on the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War as the central theme. The regional museums actively prepare a series of thematic exhibitions and initiatives.
The Takho-Godi National Museum of the Republic of Dagestan plans to present the rich tapestry of Dagestani culture simultaneously in five major cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Ufa and Minsk. Additionally, the museum will present retrospectives of prominent artists Yusuf Mollaev and Dmitry Kapanitsyn.
As part of the II Akhulgo Archive project, the 145th anniversary of Akhulgo Panorama will be celebrated, along with joint exhibitions in collaboration with regional branches of the museum.
Dagestan State Museum of Fine Arts named after P. S. Gamzatov will hold an exchange project with the State Tula Museum dedicated to masterpieces from the 19th and early 20th centuries. Apart from this, the museum plans to implement a series of initiatives, including exhibitions, festivals and guided tours across the region. These initiatives also include the inauguration of a new archaeological museum in Derbent, as well as unique programs designed for both residents and visitors of the region.
