The House of Friendship has announced the results of the poetic competition «Motherland. Friendship. Family», which took place on December 13th. This two-stage event brought together over 20 poets hailing from Makhachkala, Derbent and St. Petersburg.

The participants delivered their poems in person before a jury comprised of Saida Yarakhmedova, deputy director of the House of Friendship; Nazira Aliyeva, chief editor of Dagestan State Television and Radio Company and Marina Gadzhiyeva from Makhachkala city Department of Education.

Fatima Radjabova, a 31-year-old author of meditative tales and poems from Azerbaijan emerged as the contest winner. The literary event organized by the Department for National Cultures and Event Management of the House of Friendship is held for the second year. The organizers express intention to make it annual, emphasizing its significance in fostering and nurturing poetic talents in the region.
