"Springs of Dagestan" exhibition opens in Makhachkala

The exhibition showcased over 300 masterpieces crafted by 39 artisans from 19 regions of the republic, offering a comprehensive display of the rich diversity and depth of Dagestanian folk arts.

Attendees immerse themselves in the full spectrum of artistic and folk traditions of the region, including wood and stone carvings, intricate carpet weavings, patterned knits and exquisite silk and gold embroideries. Additionally, they may watch live demonstrations of traditional notching techniques, pottery and jewelry.

The event is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Dagestan in collaboration with the Republican House of Folk Arts.

The «Springs of Dagestan» project has become an established tradition, bringing together a multitude of talented artisans. The exhibition continues to expand, incorporating new forms and breathtaking creations. This cultural tapestry of the diverse Dagestani society is a treasure, a testament to our cultural heritage, and a source of pride for all of Russia – Zarema Butaeva, the regional Minister of Culture says.
