Abdussamad Gamidov: "Implementing Russian President’s May decree is of particular socio-economic significance to Daghestan citizens"

Makhachkala, April 11, 2014. On 10 April, Daghestan Prime Minister Abdussamad Gamidov visited the city of Derbent and Derbent region where he inspected a number of social facilities and held a workshop.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by the minister of construction, architecture, housing and public utilities Mussa Mussayev, the deputy minister of agriculture and food supply Shamil Aliyev, Derbent mayor Imam Yaraliev, the head of Derbent region Kurban Kurbanov, and other officials.

The visit’s goal was to see the preparations for celebrating the 2000th anniversary of founding the city of Derbent and to discuss some yet unsettled issues.
A. Gamidov inspected a number of city facilities including a park, some sports facilities, and the look of the main streets and highways.

Following the visit, he gave the necessary recommendations to the Derbent mayor, and a number of instructions to the involved ministers and department heads to provide urban amenities, reconstruct the general utilities and repair the facades of city buildings.

Then, Abdussamad Gamidov in company with Director General of the Derbent Building Plant Gadji Dzhabrailov visited the comprehensive development facilities in the region.

Importantly, these facilities are built as part the № 600 President’s Decree of 7 May 2012 "On measures to provide Russian citizens with affordable and comfortable housing and improving the quality of housing and public utilities".

Facilities for over 100,000 square meters of economy class housing are being completed, so around 2,000 families will be able to improve their living conditions.
A. Gamidov also chaired a meeting where the responsible managers were given appropriate instructions, and some issues were taken under special control.
