According to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin, the construction of the facility was financed within the framework of the federal project "Clean Water". Its length amounts to 32 km. It is supposed to provide about 68 thousand local residents with pure water.
"The new water pipeline with a capacity of more than 30 thousand cubic meters per day runs from the pumping station at the dam of Chirkeyskaya Hydroelectric Power Station to the clean water reservoirs of the city of Buynaksk. Chirkey reservoir became the centralized source of water supply" - Khusnullin said.
According to the project, the water pipeline includes pressure sensors and systems for metering the volume of water supplied and consumed.
