Dagestan authorities are planning to increase the salaries of public sector employees in 2024. It is planned to allocate 6.6 billion rubles from the regional budget for these purposes. The total wage fund, according to the main economic document for the next year, will amount to RUR 64 billion (38% of the regional budget). As a result of measures to increase wages, the monthly minimum wage in the region will increase by 18.5% - up to 19,242 rub.

According to government official, the budget of Dagestan is currently made with a deficit of 13.9 billion rubles. During the second reading in the local parliament, its main parameters will be revised taking into account subsidies from the federal center.
