Today, March 4, at a conference on the development of public passenger transport, a student from one of the universities asked whether there would be a metro in the republic. The Head of Dagestan Sergei Melicov responded that the seismicity of the region does not allow building underground traffic lines.

-We would rather talk about the development of high-speed trains that will link all districts of the republic, - Melikov said.  As to the top official, the potential of such trains is huge in the region.

Recall, earlier in the social networks the local residents actively debated on the need to build a metro in Makhachkala because of heavy traffic jams in the city and its suburbs.
