32 sports facilities were built and put into operation in Dagestan last year, the head of the Ministry of Sport of the Republic of Dagestan Sazhid Sazhidov said at the enlarged board of the Ministry.

The facilities were built under the federal projects "Sport is the norm of life" and "I choose sport", the state sports development program, the Gazprom program, as well as at the expense of extra-budgetary funds.

"Seven small sports grounds with exercise equipment, 15 universal grounds, two open-type sports and fitness complexes in the villages of Hunzakh and Sergokala, one large sports complex in the village of Endirey in Khasavyurt district, seven sports grounds in Kaspiysk have been built under the Gazprom program" Sazhid Sazhidov explained. As to the top official the construction of the Palace of Sports in Derbent, a sports hall in the village of Burtunai in Kazbekovsky district, stadiums in the city of Kizilyurt and the village of Vachi in Kulinsky district is in progress.
