The event participants considered issues related to the potential and prospects of the North-South International Transport Corridor. The Central Asian and Middle Eastern states are increasingly interested in the project.

“Today experts discussed its trade, economic and transit potential. For Russia, and Dagestan in particular, this project is very important and is on the priority control of the regional government” – Sultanov confessed.

Recall one of the main points of the trans-Caspian branches of the ITC "North - South" is Dagestan transportation and logistics complex, which includes Makhachkala Trade Port, the local railroad network, airport and a network of federal and motor roads.
