The vice premier of Dagestan Rizvan Gazimagomedov has visited the wool processing factory "Kavkazskaya Wool" located in Khasavyurtovsky municipal district. The visit took place as part of the interdepartmental working group on wool cluster development.

Gazimagomedov discussed current problems with the company's management and promised support from the republican government in implementing projects to increase production. In particular, the relevant ministries have been instructed to improve transport infrastructure, resolve land use issues and provide assistance in expanding production areas and enhancing wool processing capabilities.

The development of large-scale wool-processing operations in Russia has been identified as a priority task at the federal level. Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, the Prime Minister of the Republic, highlighted the establishment of a wool processing cluster in Dagestan during a visit to the Council on Agriculture and Natural Resources under the Federation Council in the city of Minvody in 2023.
