On Diplomatic Workers’ Day celebrated February 10, Marat Osmanov, the representative of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of the Russian Federation in Makhachkala, paid a visit to the Republican Multidisciplinary Boarding Lyceum for Gifted Children, where he conducted a “conversation on important issues” class.
During this open lesson, Osmanov enlightened the teens on the significance of the diplomatic service and the structure of the Ministry, emphasizing the responsibilities and duties of diplomats. The young people were particularly attracted by the prospect of travelling abroad, exploring different cultures and learning foreign languages.
The top official has announced the establishment of a Young Diplomats' Club in the premises of the Lyceum. The main objective of this initiative is to engage young people in educational activities, to improve their language skills and to foster an appreciation of the diverse cultures of both Russia and the global community.
The members of this esteemed club will have an opportunity to actively participate in a wide range of events, including competitions, festivals, conferences, training sessions and other initiatives that contribute to the social, cultural and intellectual development of the region and the nation.
Furthermore, Osmanov expressed his gratitude to Valery Egoshkin, the Deputy Head of the Association of Russian Diplomats and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation, acknowledging his invaluable support in promoting the understanding of the diplomatic profession among Dagestani youth.
