The regional universities, colleges and organizations presented their scientific achievements. The festival included an awarding ceremony for young scientists – the winners of the republican contests for personal scholarships "The Best Young Scientist of 2023".

"Russia has always been famous for its advanced scientific technologies. Based on our scientific researches, which has been created for many years, we, of course, should strive only forward. And whether we will go forward depends, first of all, on our young generation. Our task is to create conditions for them to do science" Muslim Telyakavov, the vice premier of the Republic of Dagestan said.

Elena Pavlyuchenko, Chairman of the Committee on Science and Education of the People’s Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan told about the importance of such events aimed at popularization of science.

The regional Minister of Education and Science of the RD Yakhya Buchaev spoke about the concept of the festival and the goals it pursues. "We will organize this festival annually. It is held so that, dear children, you can learn what science is and how interesting it can be. Science is a very wonderful field of endeavor. The festival, first of all, is timed to motivate you to engage in it," – the top official said addressing the participants.

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic regularly organizes scientific work contests among schoolchildren. Over the past seven years, 8,500 students have successfully presented their scientific projects.
