The new Committee, the tenth in number, will be established in the structure of the People’s Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan, resulting in an increase in the number of permanent deputies from 32 to 34. The Committee will focus on addressing the needs and concerns of veterans and participants of the special military operation.

Simultaneously, at the 39th regular session of the republican Parliament, amendments were adopted in the second reading to the laws «On the Status of Deputy of the People's Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan» and «On the People's Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan». These amendments aimed to formalize the establishment of the new Committee and to provide for its operational functioning.

In his remark, Zaur Askenderov, the Parliament Speaker, emphasized the timeliness of this decision, highlighting the importance of providing support and recognition to those who served with distinction in the Russian Army.
