Fish farming and processing project to be implemented in Dagestan

The Fisheries Committee of the Republic of Dagestan convened a working meeting of departmental management with Alexander Nevredinov, head of the Eurasian Aquaculture Alliance (EAA), and Yabrail Yavadov, head of EAA's representative office in the North Caucasian Federal District.
The parties discussed the development of a fishery biotechnology cluster called "EurasiaFish" in the region. The project encompasses activities such as fish farming, deep-sea fishing, production of microalgae like chlorella, manufacturing of marine fish farming equipment and the construction of breeding facilities for fisheries.
The projected cost of this project exceeds RUB one billion. All facilities will be constructed in southern Dagestan, specifically in the cities of Dagestanskie Ogni and Manas, as well as in Tabasaran municipal district.
