Dagestani Head Sergei Melikov emphasized the unique bond between the President and Dagestan, highlighting Vladimir Putin's key role in combating international terrorism in the region during the turbulent year of 1999.

During the meeting, Sergey Melikov delivered a comprehensive report on the republic’s progress in terms of economic development and enhancing the well-being of its people. Specifically, the regional governor pointed out notable achievements in such areas as attraction of investments, creation of employment opportunities, construction of infrastructure facilities and new schools, support provided to the participants of the Special Military Operation as well as grape harvesting. Melikov also identified a number of critical issues that require President’s attention for the continued advancement of the region.
