“History of Diplomacy” photo exhibition opens in Makhachkala
"The History of Diplomacy" photo exhibition has opened in the historical park "Russia - My History" to mark the Russia’s Diplomatic Workers’ Day. The event is organized by the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Makhachkala.
The exhibition is devoted to the history of Russian diplomacy from the times of the Russian Empire to the present day. The copies of archive documents, official letters, diplomats' uniforms, official symbols and coats of arms, treaties are presented. All the materials are taken from the Foreign Policy Archive of the Russian Federation, in obtaining which the staff of the Historical and Documentary Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia assisted. At the same time, the material presented is very accurate, as copies were taken from the original documents.
Opening the event, Marat Osmanov, the acting head of the MFA office in Makhachkala, congratulated diplomatic workers on their professional holiday, noting the importance of their work in contemporary political system.
Then the guests were shown a video address by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The Minister noted the labour of diplomatic workers who defend Russia's national interests. He thanked the diplomats for their honest, selfless work, for their daily efforts in solving the tasks set.
The photo exhibition "History of Diplomacy" will be available for visitors until February 12.
