Indian delegation takes interest in Dagestan's tourism potential

Magomed Abakarov, Director of the “Caspiy” Academy, co-owner of the tour operator Caspian Travel and Chairman of Makhachkala Branch of the Russian Geographical Society, took part in a meeting with a delegation from India led by the Consul of the Russian Federation in Trivandrum (Kerala, Republic of India) Ratish Nair.
In his speech, Abakarov spoke about the rapid growth of tourism industry in Dagestan and told the Indian guests about the unique nature and rich historical and cultural destinations of the republic. As to Abakarov, the Russian Geographical Society has certified and recommends "Dagestan through the eyes of eagles" tour organized by Caspian Travel, which became the winner of Discover Your Russia contest.
The issues of strengthening and developing mutually beneficial relations between Dagestan and India were also discussed. The Indian delegation expressed keen interest in cooperation in various fields, including trade, investment, industry and agriculture. Both parties expressed their willingness to actively engage in cooperation and create favorable conditions for beneficial interaction.
This meeting is yet another sign of the increasing interest in tourism and investment in Dagestan, further strengthening the region’s reputation as an attractive and promising destination for business.
