This has been announced at the plenary session, "In Search of a New Economic Formula: Markets, Products and Personnel in Creative Industries" during the "Keepers of Tradition" festival in Derbent. Emin Merdanov, Minister of Tourism and Folk Crafts of the Republic of Dagestan, delivered a speech at the event.

One of the topics discussed concerned enterprises engaged in the production of traditional handicrafts still operating in Dagestan. Mardanov noted that the workshops of folk crafts could become attractive to tourists, as they represent an interesting industry that would draw the attention of visitors. Mardanov added that masters could unite in a single organization in order to develop their businesses. The initiative is being developed in collaboration with the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.

The discussion participants noted that several businesses have already created tourist infrastructure in their areas, which allows them to quickly develop a range of products for tourists.
