The government of Dagestan takes measures to address the identified shortcomings in anti-terrorism security at religious sites. The Chairman of the regional government, Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, has emphasized the need for serious attention to this issue.
According to Abdulmuslim, out of over 1,100 religious sites in the republic that are subject to anti-terrorism protection, only 64 have security passes. This indicates the need for significant work in this area.
"Please provide maximum assistance to religious organizations in preparing the necessary documents and implementing measures for their anti-terrorist protection" - Abdulmuslimov appealed to the heads of urban and municipal districts and relevant executive authorities.
A special working group headed by the Minister for National Policy and Religious Affairs Enrik Muslimov will coordinate the work. The group has been created by the decision of the Council under the Head of Dagestan on Interethnic and Interconfessional Relations.
