Due to the rolling power outages in the neighboring regions of Krasnodar Krai and Rostov-on-Don, Dagestan authorities take measures to ensure uninterrupted power supply for the local residents. The Energy Supply Headquarters at Dagestan government held a sitting to discuss the challenging situation in the south due to high network wear, extreme heat and increased power demand. During the meeting, it was noted that Dagestan recorded a historical high of 1,209 megawatts (MW) of daily power usage.

Dagestan power engineers are on high alert, mobilizing all resources to respond quickly to emergencies. Dagenergo, a subsidiary of Rosseti Northern Caucasus, is working to enhance power supply by installing a new transformer at the Yaryk-Su substation and commissioning an additional transformer at the Compass substation.

To improve reliability, an emergency backup system will be established and a number of operating crews will be increased. Additionally, authorities have instructed to intensify efforts on public information about emergency restoration work and public feedback. The power situation in Dagestan is closely monitored by regional leaders, who are taking necessary measures to guarantee stable power supply for consumers and minimize consequences of technical failures.
