The regional Ministry of Construction have selected a contractor for the construction of sewage treatment plants in the town of Dagestanskiye Ogni. The project to construct modern sewage treatment facilities, which is being implemented as part of the state program for the development of the Northern Caucasus, will provide over 30,000 residents of the municipality with high-quality centralized sewage services. Completion of the works is scheduled for 2026.

“The implementation of this project will contribute to the ecological recovery of water bodies and enhance the environmental stability of the Caspian Sea as a whole. In general, the development of infrastructure in the Caspian coastal area will not only enhance the attractiveness of the region for tourists, but it will also be a significant step toward improving the quality of life for local residents” - Bakhtiyar Ullayev, the acting Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities of the Republic of Dagestan said.
