By 2026 Makhachkala city authorities plan to create the longest pedestrian tourist route in the region with a length of more than 8 kilometers. This has been announced by the first deputy mayor of the city Nariman Temurkayev. According to the top official, the route starts at the new embankment in the Reduktorny urban district (after the second stage of its re-construction), stretches to Krasnoyarskaya Street with exit to Haji Bulach Street and ends in the new park zone near Ak-Gel Lake. The total length of the route makes 8.5 kilometers. It is expected that the project will become one of the key elements in the development of the tourism industry in the region and promote the development of a healthy lifestyle among city residents.
