The 19th All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference on "The Problem of Genre in Philology" was held at Dagestan State University (DSU). The conference focused on discussing theoretical and practical aspects of genre studies, as well as conducting scientific research. The event traditionally attracts not only representatives from the university and other educational institutions in the region, but also scholars from Moscow, Ufa, Azerbaijan and even abroad, including China.

One of the presentations at the conference was the ideological and artistic analysis of Cossack songs by Nogai and Kumyk peoples, presented by Ruganiyat Musaeva, a leading researcher at Dagestan Branch of the Russian State Pedagogical University named after A.I. Herzen.

Another presentation was delivered by Elena Zyuzina, Associate Professor of the Department of Russian Literature at Dagestan State University. She focused on the current state of the Russian language and its lexical and semantic changes.

The subject of Karina Kadyrova's research, a candidate of philological sciences and associate professor at the Department of Russian Literature at the Faculty of Philology of DSU, is the grotesque prose of the literary process in the 1920s and 1930s.

Following the official part of the conference, the event continued in a breakout session format.
