The fifth annual conference "Religion and Contemporary World" will take place in the Republic of Dagestan. The aim of the conference is to discuss relevant issues of interfaith dialogue in the context of contemporary realities, as well as to analyze the experiences and prospects of the social service of traditional religions in the socio-cultural sphere of the republic.

The conference will bring together the government officials, religious figures, as well as the representatives of public and educational organizations, the scientific community and the media. The organizers hope that the event will provide an opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas on important issues, to contribute to a better understanding of the role of religion in contemporary society and promote interfaith harmony and cooperation.

The program of the event will include thematic sessions on such topics as:

- Interfaith and interethnic relations
- The protection of spiritual, moral and family values as means of preventing extremism and terrorism
- The role of religious and civic organizations in the development of unified Russian identity;
- Interfaith dialogue as a foundation for peace and societal stability;
- Patriotism as an essential component of religious belief.
