Dagestan introduces new system of support for education

Makhachkala, May 22, 2017. Dagestan intends to replicate Moscow's experience in developing an education support system, the deputy Prime Minister Yekaterina Tolstikova said acting at the seminar "Educational Dialogue. Moscow - Makhachkala - Derbent " held on May 18.

According to Tolstikova, there are many teachers in the region who are keen on their profession and need assistance in terms of methodological support. "In Moscow, a really well-thought-out system for supporting education and fulfilling specific tasks operates. We would like to introduce similar system in our republic. I wish the present day seminar to give us an impetus to improve the methodology of the educational process" - Tolstikova said.

"The educational dialogue. Moscow - Makhachkala - Derbent " was a pedagogical seminar. Its goal was to find ways to improve the quality of education in Dagestan. The seminar was attended by the representatives of the education system of the republic and Moscow Department of Education.

In Dagestan, there are about 4,500 schools and 900 kindergartens. More than 700 thousand people are involved in the education system, including more than 40 thousand teachers.
