In 2023 the residents of the republic of Dagestan took up loans amounted to 144 billion rubles, the regional branch of the National Bank of Russia reports. This is 1.6 times more than in the same period of 2022.

The main growth, as specified by the Bank manager Murad Idrisov, is due to high demand for mortgage loans, the share of which in the structure of the portfolio for the year exceeded 70%.

In January-December 2023, Dagestanis concluded mortgage transactions worth 45.8 billion rubles.  Besides, in 2023, the volume of customer funds attracted by banks totaled RUB 180 billion, which is 18.5% higher than a year earlier.
