The regional Ministry of Sport has released statistics on the achievements of Dagestan athletes in official competitions, such as European and World Championships, as well as all-Russian and international events that took place last year. The results are truly remarkable, with Dagestan representatives claiming an impressive tally of 1,874 medals, of which 615 were of the highest quality. It is worth noting that in 2023 Dagestanis won a total of 2,012 medals including 716 gold ones.
