Grappler from Dagestan wins European Championship

14-years-old Magomedsultan Gadzhiev from Dagestan has won the European Grappling Championship in Loutraki, Greece. The trainee of sports school "Agat" won two gold medals at once, performing in both sections of kickboxing.

Isa Karasanov’s trainee has become the leader of the Russian junior team in the weight category up to 47 kg. In total, Dagestani grappler had eight fights in Greece.

Isa Karasanov, the champion's coach, called the result deserved: "We prepared hard for this start. We understood what kind of opponents we would face. Magomedsultan lived up to my expectations. He is a disciplined and hard-working athlete. People like him are called "plowmen". That's why his results are so good.

The young grappler from Dagestan has to qualify for the World Championships in Kazakhstan. To get there, Gadzhiev needs to perform well at the Russian Summer Championships.
