Employees of the Research Veterinary Institute conducted a laboratory study of camel milk using the Expert Profi milk analyzer which determines more than 11 physical and chemical parameters of camel milk in one minute. The data is automatically displayed on the screen. The milk's fat content was found to be 5%, density 33.3%, protein 4% and lactose 5%.
According to Yusupzhan Yuldashbaev, a professor at the Russian Agricultural University - MSHA named after K.A. Timiryazev, the milk tested at the camel farm in Sulak settlement meets all state standards.
“It should be noted that a 5% fat content in camel milk is a very high indicator. There are countries where this indicator is 2%, and here we have 5%. This speaks to the breed of camels selected for their milk fatness and appropriate feeding conditions. Protein, with a score of 4%, is higher than that of cow's milk. This milk is very suitable for cheese-making due to its high protein content. Additionally, it has a good pH level and 0% moisture content, indicating that it is fresh and meets drinking milk standards” - the professor explained.
It should be noted that camel milk is used as a treatment for diabetics, GI patients and allergy sufferers and also contains useful insulin-like substances that neutralize sugar and bring it back to normal.
