Dagestan has experienced a significant surge in wine production during the current year. According to the regional Committee on Viticulture and Alcohol Regulation, output has risen by 40.5% compared to the same period last year, resulting in the production of 1.035 million decaliters of wine within the first six months of 2025.

Champagne production also witnessed a notable increase, reaching 761.2 thousand decaliters, representing a 27.4% growth compared to the previous year's first half. Conversely, cognac production in Dagestan is projected to decline in 2025.

To further bolster the burgeoning wine industry in Dagestan, both federal and regional funding will be allocated. This year, a total of RUB 905 million has been earmarked for viticulture and winemaking initiatives, with the majority of this sum originating from the federal budget.
