Dagestan takes part in Russia's largest agricultural event

The Republic of Dagestan is once again taking part in the annual All-Russian Agro-Industrial Exhibition "Golden Autumn" held at Timiryazev Center in Moscow. The event will last till October 12.
Dagestan's stand is located in the central pavilion, sector C, next to the exhibition organized by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture. The stand showcases the agricultural potential of the republic and its environmentally friendly products. There is an open area for presentations and interaction with visitors, as well as a space for negotiations and signing contracts. According to the exhibition organizers, the stand is very popular.
Alexei Plotnikov, Executive Director of the Russian Association of Winegrowers and Winemakers, and Vasily Ivanov, Deputy Governor of Volgograd region, visited Dagestan stand and praised the region's achievements in developing viticulture. Plotnikov particularly praised the layout and style of the stand, as well as the display of vine and finished products.
This year, the republic plans to harvest at least 296 thousand tons of grapes, an increase of 13 thousand tons compared to last year. Over the next two years, it is planned to plant approximately 1,354.8 hectares of new vineyards. More than 405 hectares have already been planted.
