Makhachkala leads Russian cities with most expensive secondary housing

The experts of the federal real estate portal «World of Apartments» conducted a comparative analysis of prices per square meter in new buildings and in the secondary market of residential real estate in 70 cities of Russia with a population exceeding 300,000 people.

It was revealed that new buildings are generally more expensive, with the exception of four cities. The list of cities in which the cost of a square meter in secondary housing exceeds the cost in a new building is led by Makhachkala, where the difference is 42%, followed by Grozny with a difference of 25.6%, Vladikavkaz with a gap of 4.1% and Vladimir with a margin of 1%.

On an average across the entire country, the price of a square meter in a new construction is 20.7% higher, amounting to 142,749 rubles, compared to 118,274 rubles for a square meter in the secondary real estate market.
