Zarema Kurbanova’s "Unique dolls" to be exhibited in Makhachkala

Makhachkala, March 2, 2016. An exhibition of traditional folk dolls in ethnic costumes "Unique dolls", by the graduate of Dagestan Art College named after Jemal, the participant of several professional exhibitions in Moscow and Krasnodar Zarema Kurbanova kicks off tomorrow March 3 in Makhachkala. The event will take place in the Center of folk arts and crafts.
The organizer of the exhibition is the Ministry of Tourism and folk crafts of Dagestan. Its main purpose is to contribute to the revival of the crafts in manufacturing the traditional folk dolls.
The exhibition visitors can see the dolls in clothes sewn according to the cultural and national traditions of Dagestan female costume, the dolls - characters from fairy tales and the dolls in Russian costumes of the late XIX century.
Zarema Kurbanova works are in private collections of puppet art connoisseurs in America, Africa, Turkey and France, as well as in many regions of Russia.
