The Head of Dagestan Sergei Melikov in an interview with RIA Novosti on the platform of the exhibition-forum "Russia" said that the region will probably not have time to fully complete the work on improving the reliability of the power grid complex until 2027. For this reason, the reginal authorities hope to extend the relevant program till 2030.

According to the region governor, Dagestan need to update not only energy facilities but, probably, the high-voltage lines, as well as other more serious technical facilities, which in turn may require more serious technical solutions and big investments.

Besides, Melikov noted that the most important task for present is to provide the population with electricity, and further to carry out work to improve the reliability of the energy complex.
